Portfolio
Below are a selection of websites worked on:
-
Mad Mask Theatre Company
Oxford-based theatre and film production company.
Website built using WordPress CMS with Events Manager plugin extended to add a ‘production’ post type, and a custom theme.
-
Performance Pads
This site sells brake pads direct to the public, primarily aimed at car enthusiasts who would fit their own pads and/or use their vehicles on track days.
The ongoing challange is matching specific vehicles, from a database of about 25,000, to specific pad shapes. Different pad manufacturers seem to have slightly different classifcations for vehicles, which doesn’t help.
-
The Quest for the Centre
Literary Talks and Events (website built using WordPress framework with Events Manager plugin and a custom theme).
-
Sunningwell Village Hall
Events calendar and booking form for a village hall, accessing data from Google Calendar via the PHP API.
-
Oxford Walking Tours
Based on original work by Hugh Pryor. Further development has inlcuded setting up online ticket sales, and implementing a responsive layout to make the website mobile-friendly.
During the Covid pandemic, we have had to constantly adjust availability, and provide ever-changing information and guidance re requirements and expectations.
-
Burton Dassett Gardening Club
Local Gardening Club website built using WordPress CMS with Events Manager plugin and a custom theme.
-
Sandspout Bookstore, Dolgellau
Dennis used to run the Albion Beatnik Bookstore in Oxford. I helped him migrate his original WordPress.com blog to a fully-fledged ‘self-hosted’ WordPress.org site, adding WooCommerce for eCommerce functionality.
Now he himself has migrated: to north Wales; a new bookshop, and new website, which started off as a clone of the old. He also runs ABPress and Lover of the Fancy. I’d like to make these sites mobile-friendly, but he is not particularly interested in that.
-
Oxford Ghost Tours
Based on original work by Hugh Pryor. Further development has inlcuded implementing a responsive layout to make the website mobile-friendly.
-
Leafology
Tea-based cosmetics, toiletries, health products, and also tea.
Migrated from WordPress.com to ‘self-hosted’ WordPress.org, adding WooCommerce plugin for eCommerce functionality.
-
Stratford-on-Avon District Green Party
Assisted local Green Party setting up website on subdomain of national site, using MODX. Also set up maps showing district boundaries and election results using Ordnance Survey OpenSpace Javascript API (which extends OpenLayers).

-
3D Origins
A marketplace for on-demand 3D-printed products.
Designers can upload their 3D model files to be added as products to the site, which customers can order to be 3D-printed on demand, earning the designer commission.
The site uses the WC Marketplace plugin for WooCommerce to provide multi-vendor functionality.
